Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that lasting peace with India is impossible unless the Kashmir issue is resolved.
Speaking at an Overseas Pakistanis Convention in London, he stressed that anyone who thinks otherwise “is living in a fool’s paradise.”
He called on India to act as a cooperative neighbor, not a combative one.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan desires dialogue on the basis of equality, highlighting that both nations have wasted billions on wars.
This money, he said, could have been used for public welfare and development.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif outlined the critical elements that led to the success of Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos, while speaking at an Overseas Pakistanis Convention in London.
He credited the seamless coordination between Pakistan’s military and civilian leadership, the use of highly sophisticated electronic and cyber warfare technology, and the exceptional courage of the Pakistan Air Force which demonstrated its prowess by downing Indian jets, including Rafales.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the nation’s unwavering resolve and unity against aggression, noting that the entire country stood behind its armed forces with one voice.
Additionally, he reiterated Pakistan’s stance on the Pehalgam incident, clarifying that Pakistan had no involvement and reaffirming the country’s willingness to support an impartial international inquiry into the attack.
PM Shehbaz underscored Pakistan’s commitment to peace, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence in the region.
Overseas Pakistanis play key role in stabilizing economy: Khawaja Asif
Overseas Pakistanis are playing a vital role in strengthening the national economy, noted by Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Asif in London.
He credited the Prime Minister’s leadership for steering through initial economic challenges and highlighted how the diaspora’s continuous support has been crucial to this turnaround.
Tribute to overseas Pakistanis and a condemnation of Israeli aggression
During his address, the Prime Minister also praised the vital contributions of overseas Pakistanis, particularly those in the UK.
He revealed that their remittances have reached $38.3 billion this year, calling them a “vital pillar” of the nation’s economy.
The government, he assured, is committed to safeguarding their rights and interests.
Additionally, the Prime Minister strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Palestinians, pointing out that over 64,000 civilians have been killed and that access to food and medical supplies has been deliberately cut off.
UN visit to address global issues and promoting Pakistan’s stance on peace and regional stability
Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to travel to the United States on Sunday.
He will address the United Nations General Assembly on September 26. Furthermore, Pakistan’s prime minister will also participate in a special session on Gaza, where he is expected to reiterate Pakistan’s stance on Palestine and regional peace.
Pakistan’s foreign policy has long supported the Palestinian cause of achieving a separate nation for the Palestinians, while recognizing East Jerusalem as its capital.
