The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has transferred an advance fund of Rs20 million to the accounts of players and coaches selected to participate in the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands.
According to reports, the PHF has transferred Rs20 million as advance foreign daily allowance (DA) to the bank accounts of national hockey team players and coaches before their departure for the World Cup.
According to the PHF, the purpose of the advance payment is to ensure that players and officials remain financially comfortable during the tour and can focus entirely on their preparations and performance at the World Cup.
In addition to the advance daily allowance, the PHF has completed all necessary arrangements for the team’s participation, including international air tickets, accommodation and meals at quality hotels, local transportation, training facilities, logistics, and transportation of sporting equipment.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohiyuddin Ahmad Wani said in a statement that the welfare and facilities of the national team are the federation’s top priority.
He further said, “Our players and coaches should focus solely on the game. The federation has completed all financial and logistical arrangements before departure. The advance payment of Rs20 million is proof of our commitment to providing the team representing Pakistan at the biggest stage of world hockey with the best possible facilities.”
The PHF expressed hope that these timely measures would boost the players’ morale and enable them to perform to the best of their abilities at the World Cup.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation also thanked its sponsors, supporters, and the Government of Pakistan for their continued support in strengthening the national team’s preparations for the historic tournament.
