The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build its biggest service centre in Karachi, strengthening its network of registration offices within the country’s largest metropolis.

The pact was wrapped up with the Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) to build the new centre in Gulberg Town.

The soon-to-open mega centre will operate 24 hours a day, six days a week, intended to ease public access to essential registration and licensing services. The facility is structured to deal large number of visitors, providing comprehensive services in a single location.

Nadra’s new mega centre will have separate counters for passports, thalassemia tests, and arms licences, as well as special desks for older people. The facility will also host a zonal office in the same building to oversee operations and improve internal coordination.

Residents of Gulberg Town, Ayesha Manzil, Sakhi Hassan, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Federal B. Area, and Liaquatabad are expected to benefit directly from the new mega facility, which will reduce congestion at other branches and cut waiting times importantly.
