Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK785 from Islamabad to London Heathrow departed on Wednesday as per schedule, according to flight information.
Air travel between Pakistan and the United Kingdom faced disruption after a technical failure in the UK’s air traffic control system.
The disruption affected several major British airports, including London Heathrow, where flights faced delays and cancellations.
According to the latest flight information, PK785 departed Islamabad at 11:14am on Wednesday, September 9, against its scheduled departure time of 11:15am.
The flight is scheduled to arrive at London Heathrow at around 3:42pm local time.
The flight is listed for Terminal 4 at Heathrow.
The development comes after a major technical failure in the National Air Traffic Services (NATS) flight-processing system caused widespread disruption across Britain on Tuesday.
More than 1,000 flights were cancelled during the disruption, leaving hundreds of thousands of passengers affected.
Heathrow temporarily suspended all arrivals on Tuesday night as authorities worked to resolve the problem. Departures later resumed.
British aviation authorities said the technical issue had been fixed, but warned that delays could continue as airlines worked to clear the backlog.
The disruption also affected passengers travelling between Pakistan and the UK.
President Zardari’s flight delayed
President Asif Ali Zardari’s return journey from Britain was also affected by the air traffic control problem. He is expected to travel to Pakistan via Türkiye following the disruption.

The latest status for PIA PK785 shows the Islamabad-London service operating as scheduled, with the flight already departed from Islamabad.
