Army Aviation MI-17 helicopter crashes near Muzaffarabad, all personnel aboard martyred.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a Pakistan Army Aviation MI-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad today after developing a technical fault during takeoff.
The military spokesperson said that all personnel on board attained the esteemed status of martyrdom, and no one survived the crash. Rescue and relief teams reached the site immediately after the incident and launched recovery and assistance operations.
The statement added that a high-level board of inquiry has been constituted to determine the causes of the accident and the nature of the technical malfunction.
ISPR said that the Army Chief, the Chief of Defence Staff, and all officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of the martyrs.
The military spokesperson said that the entire nation stands with the families of the martyrs during this difficult time.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sadness over the tragic accident near Muzaffarabad and paid tribute to the personnel martyred in the crash. He said that the entire nation salutes the sacrifices of its brave sons and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for patience and strength for their families.
