Fraud allegations and embassy complaint

According to sources, the US Embassy had filed a complaint regarding Haris, prompting local authorities to intensify surveillance. Police said Haris had used the fake card to falsely present himself as an embassy employee.

Police custody and further investigation

Haris was arrested with assistance from intelligence agencies and has been transferred to the Secretariat Police Station for further action. Investigators are reportedly probing whether he was involved in other fraudulent activities in the capital.

The arrest highlights ongoing security measures in Islamabad’s diplomatic zones and the vigilance of law enforcement in preventing impersonation and related crimes.
