Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has denied reports that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s recent private trip to London was funded by the government.
Bukhari rejected the claims in a post on social media platform X, saying there was no truth to reports that public funds were used for the trip.
She said Maryam Nawaz paid for the expenses of her London visit herself.

Maryam Nawaz recently travelled to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony. She left Britain for Pakistan on Wednesday.
Her trip to London on her own personal plane had been criticized by money and rumours were circulating that Maryam Nawaz had made the trip, whose cost was estimated to be one crore, had been made on the tax payers money.
Before leaving London, Maryam Nawaz briefly spoke to journalists.
She said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was fully united and remained strong.
Maryam said several people had tried to divide and break up the party, but they had eventually left.
She added that the party remained united and should continue working for public service in Punjab and other provinces.
