Web Desk: Samsung Electronics has revealed official S26 pricing for its latest flagship smartphones after introducing the lineup at its global Galaxy Unpacked event, reinforcing its push into the country’s premium mobile segment.

The new Samsung Galaxy S26 family comprising the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra prioritises artificial intelligence features and long-term software support, while keeping hardware changes relatively modest. Retailers are expected to begin pre-orders in Pakistan shortly.

Samsung has positioned the standard Galaxy S26 at Rs. 299,999 for the 256GB model paired with 12GB of RAM. Consumers opting for 512GB of storage will pay Rs. 356,999.

Meanwhile, the larger Galaxy S26+ starts at Rs. 364,999 for 256GB and climbs to Rs. 409,999 for the 512GB configuration, both offering 12GB of memory.

At the top of the range, the Galaxy S26 Ultra carries a starting price of Rs. 424,999 for the 256GB variant with 12GB RAM. The 512GB model is listed at Rs. 489,999. The highest-tier version, which combines 1TB of storage with 16GB of RAM, reaches Rs. 579,999 placing it among the most expensive officially available smartphones in Pakistan.

This year, Samsung is leaning heavily on software as a selling point. All three devices ship with Android 16 layered with One UI 8.5. The company has pledged up to seven major Android upgrades, signaling an extended support cycle aimed at long-term users.

Processing power varies by market. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ feature either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 chipset, depending on region. The Ultra model, however, standardizes on a 3-nanometer version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform.

Samsung has equipped the trio with Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panels that support a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Screen sizes measure 6.3 inches on the S26, 6.7 inches on the S26+, and 6.9 inches on the Ultra.

Photography remains a key differentiator. The S26 and S26+ rely on a 50-megapixel primary sensor supported by telephoto and ultra-wide lenses. In contrast, the Ultra model introduces a 200-megapixel main camera and an upgraded periscope telephoto system capable of extended optical zoom.

Battery capacity increases across the lineup, ranging from 4,300mAh in the base model to 5,000mAh in the Ultra. Fast wired and wireless charging is supported on all variants, with the Ultra offering the fastest wired speeds in the series.

All models provide 5G connectivity, in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensors and multiple color options, including white, blue, black and purple.

Although the hardware upgrades remain incremental, Samsung is betting that advanced AI tools, premium display technology and a lengthy update commitment will justify the higher price tags. As pre-orders approach, market response will indicate whether Pakistani consumers are willing to pay a premium for software-driven innovation in an increasingly competitive flagship category.
