Zunaira Inam

Zunaira Inam, wife of actor Osman Mukhtar, expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of 14 newborn babies in the heartbreaking incident. She questioned whether those allegedly responsible for negligence would ever be held accountable, or whether the tragedy too would disappear from public memory after a few days.

Muhammad Ahmed

Senior actor Muhammad Ahmed also expressed his grief over the incident and called for a complete investigation. He said those responsible for the tragedy should be identified and held accountable.

Madeeha Naqvi

Host Madeeha Naqvi expressed solidarity with the affected mothers and families, prayed for their patience, and asked Allah Almighty to give them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

The reactions to the incident also included strong criticism of the country’s system. It was said that after such tragedies, people express condemnation and grief for a few days, but then everyone forgets about them until the next tragedy occurs.

It is worth noting that a fire suddenly broke out on Wednesday morning in the nursery on the third floor of the PIMS Mother and Child Health Ward, where newborn babies were receiving treatment. According to officials, 14 newborns lost their lives in the incident, while one baby was rescued. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident and directed authorities to determine those responsible.
