Web desk: TikToker Samiya Hijab has addressed allegations that she accepted money to withdraw her case against Hassan Zahid.
In a new Instagram video, Samiya said women often do not speak up because “In reality, girls don’t step forward because their wings are cut, and efforts are made to break them.”
She explained that the accused had been punished, but said values and morals guided her decision to end the matter after Zahid’s parents apologised to her.
According to Samiya, Zahid’s mother insisted she withdraw the case, saying, “You are like my daughter.”
“An individual’s mistake should not become a punishment for his family,” Samiya said. She added that Zahid had admitted his wrongdoing and she had withdrawn all allegations.
His mother had also requested that she give a statement in court, as the issue could not be resolved otherwise.
Samiya said the case ended with the assurance that Zahid would no longer threaten her or her family. She thanked the Islamabad Police, IG Islamabad, SHO Ishaq, and SHO Shafqat, along with the media outlets that “show the truth instead of lies just for TRP.”
She also thanked fellow influencers and close friends who supported her.
In her caption, she encouraged young women to stay strong, writing, “Girls, please stay strong — the world is full of hypocrisy, but you must not be afraid. Together, we will face it all.”
Earlier this month, Samiya had accused Zahid, a former partner, of harassment and threats. He had appeared outside her residence, snatched her phone, and tried to force her into his car.
