Web desk: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on September 24 in 14 districts of the province on account of the local government by-elections.

According to details, the districts where the holiday will be observed include Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Matiari, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Badin, Thatta, Karachi West, Karachi East, and Keamari.

A notification issued by the government stated that the holiday has been declared to facilitate voters in these districts. On Wednesday, September 24, all government offices and institutions will remain closed.

Separately, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced that Tuesday, September 23, will be a public holiday for both government and private sector employees in celebration of the Kingdom’s 95th National Day.

The day marks the historic unification of the country in 1932 under King Abdulaziz Al Saud, a milestone that is remembered every year with nationwide festivities. Cities across the Kingdom will host cultural performances, concerts, fireworks, and other patriotic displays to mark the occasion.

All government offices, schools, banks, and private institutions will remain closed for the day, giving citizens and residents the opportunity to take part in the celebrations.

This year’s National Day will be observed under the theme “Our Pride Lies in Our Nature”, which highlights Saudi Arabia’s cultural identity, traditions, and natural beauty.
