Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry has said that PTI’s leadership is facing internal frustration and confusion, claiming that many party members no longer want to remain aligned with founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to a private news channel, Talal Chaudhry said PTI members now see their political survival tied to a model similar to that once used by the founder of MQM. He added that Imran Khan has “gone far beyond” that model and taken the party to a point where members feel trapped.
According to him, PTI lawmakers are privately expressing that they can no longer continue under Khan’s leadership and may begin distancing themselves from within the party.
The minister said the government wants PTI to stay part of the political process, but Imran Khan is unwilling to do so. He added that political workers hold “no importance” in the eyes of the party founder.
Talal Chaudhry said that any political party operating outside democratic norms would face lawful action, and the state will ensure implementation of the law.
