Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Muhammad Usman Haider Gujjar, has been arrested on charges of murdering daughter and wife.
Reports suggest that the accused officer has confessed.
It has been alleged that Usman Haider shot and killed his daughter and wife.
A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the accused at Burki police station. He claimed that his daughter and wife had been abducted.
Police were able to recover the bodies. One from Kahna areas while the other from Sheikhupura,
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) following the developments ordered the suspension of DSP Usman Haider. Usman Haider was serving in the Kahna Police Investigation Wing.
It has been further disclosed by the police that the deceased woman was DSP Usman Haider’s first wife. The DSP had a second marriage and after those tensions escalated. In this tragic incident ongoing marriage conflicts is believed to have played a key role.
Police became suspicious after the DSP has submitted the missing person report with delay.
