PCB updates fans about Babar Azam’s injury

Pakistan Test team captain Babar Azam was hit on the hand by a ball while batting on the second day of the ongoing match between Pakistan and the PCC Select XI. He subsequently left the ground to receive medical attention.

According to media reports, sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Babar Azam’s injury is not serious and that he is out of danger. The team management and doctors examined Babar Azam and advised him to rest as a precautionary measure.

Babar Azam was struck on the hand while batting, after which he immediately sought medical assistance. Following an examination by the team doctor, it was decided that Babar should be given further rest to prevent the minor injury from worsening.

According to PCB sources, if required, Babar Azam will be available to bat again for Pakistan in the warm-up match. Initial reports regarding his injury are encouraging, and there is currently no major cause for concern. The team management is closely monitoring Babar Azam’s health and fitness. A decision regarding his participation in upcoming matches will be made after assessing the condition of his injury.

Babar Azam’s departure from the ground on the second day of the Pakistan-PCC Select XI match caused concern among fans. However, after PCB sources confirmed that the injury was not serious, national team supporters breathed a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has been ruled out of the National Champions Cup due to a finger injury.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohammad Nawaz will remain out of cricket for at least three weeks, while the all-rounder will report to the National Cricket Academy after two weeks.

Mohammad Nawaz was representing Pakistan Gold in the National Champions Cup.
