Web Desk: Kia Pakistan has rolled out a major promotional price reduction for its Sorento SUV range, cutting as much as Rs2.5 million from selected variants as Lucky Motor Corporation celebrates a decade in the local market.

The revised rates take effect from Oct. 7, 2026, and cover three Sorento hybrid and plug-in hybrid models.

The Sorento 1.5T AWD PHEV has received the largest price adjustment. Its price has dropped to Rs16.499 million from Rs18.999 million, giving buyers a saving of Rs2.5 million.

The 1.6T AWD HEV has also seen a significant reduction. Kia has lowered its price by Rs2.4 million, taking it from Rs17.899 million to Rs15.499 million.

Meanwhile, the Sorento 1.6T FWD HEV is now available for Rs15.499 million, down Rs800,000 from its earlier price of Rs16.299 million.

The latest changes mean the two 1.6T HEV variants are now being offered at an identical promotional price, despite the difference in their drivetrain configurations.

Lucky Motor Corporation said the special rates are part of celebrations marking its 10th year of operations and the sale of 100,000 vehicles in Pakistan and overseas markets.

The company described the offer as a limited-time promotion and thanked customers for their continued confidence in its products.

The revised prices are as follows:

Sorento variantEarlier priceNew promotional pricePrice cut
1.6T FWD HEVRs16.299 millionRs15.499 millionRs800,000
1.6T AWD HEVRs17.899 millionRs15.499 millionRs2.4 million
1.5T AWD PHEVRs18.999 millionRs16.499 millionRs2.5 million

Despite the headline reductions, the promotional figures do not cover every cost associated with purchasing the vehicles.

LMC said the announced prices are ex-factory and exclude freight and insurance charges. Buyers will also be responsible for any additional government taxes, duties or levies introduced before delivery.

Any such changes could therefore increase the amount ultimately payable by customers.

The steep reductions on the AWD HEV and PHEV models are likely to draw attention from buyers considering electrified SUVs. However, because the prices are tied to a limited-time campaign, customers may also remain cautious about how pricing could change once the promotion ends.
