The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a two-year ban on domestic cricketer Hamza Nazar.
According to a PCB spokesperson, action was taken against Hamza Nazar for providing false and incomplete information in a visa application.
Hamza Nazar will be unable to participate in any domestic or international cricket for two years. He has also been fined Rs1 million.
According to the PCB, the action was taken following an investigation into the information provided by Hamza Nazar while applying for a visa through the board. The inquiry found that he had failed to provide complete and accurate information, concealed certain important facts and provided misleading information.
The PCB had formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter. The committee gave Hamza Nazar an opportunity to present his position and explain the relevant issues.
The PCB said that matters involving misrepresentation, concealment of important information and the provision of misleading information are taken extremely seriously. Such conduct is contrary to the standards of integrity, professionalism and responsibility expected from individuals associated with Pakistan cricket.

Dan Lawrence, Ollie Pope and Sam Cook have returned to the squad, while young batter Jordan Cox has also been included again and has been given the responsibility of batting at number three. He has been given this opportunity because Jacob Bethell has been ruled out of the entire Pakistan series due to a knee injury.
England selector Marcus North said that a balanced squad combining experience and young talent had been selected against a strong team like Pakistan.
Dan Lawrence will bat at number six, while his off-spin bowling will provide the team with an additional option, which could help England take the field with four frontline fast bowlers.
Spinner Shoaib Bashir has been retained in the squad, while the fast bowlers include Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Matthew Fisher, Ollie Robinson, Brydon Carse and Sam Cook. Brydon Carse has also returned to the Test team after recovering from injury.
