Mercedes-Benz launches electric CLA 200 in Pakistan

Web Desk: German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz has introduced the all-electric CLA 200 in Pakistan with a reported ex-factory price of Rs26.2 million (Rs2.62 crore), offering a claimed driving range of 542 kilometres and rapid-charging technology.

The electric sedan combines premium styling, modern technology and the brand’s AMG Line design features, targeting buyers seeking a luxury vehicle with zero tailpipe emissions.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 offers a claimed driving range of up to 542 kilometres on a single charge, positioning it as an option for daily commuting and longer journeys.

However, actual driving range may vary depending on road conditions, driving habits, weather and climate-control usage.

One of the vehicle’s key highlights is its reported fast-charging capability, which can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes under suitable charging conditions.

The feature could help reduce charging stops, although charging speeds depend on the availability of compatible high-powered charging stations.

The electric CLA 200 also features AMG Line styling, giving the sedan a sportier appearance while retaining Mercedes-Benz’s luxury-focused design.

Its combination of electric performance, premium features and modern styling is aimed at customers looking to transition from conventional petrol-powered luxury vehicles.

With a reported ex-factory price of Rs26.2 million, the CLA 200 enters Pakistan’s premium electric vehicle segment.

However, buyers should account for applicable taxes, registration charges and other expenses that may increase the final on-road price.

The introduction reflects growing interest in luxury electric mobility in Pakistan, where charging infrastructure and vehicle affordability remain important considerations for prospective EV buyers.
