A court in Islamabad has rejected the bail of Hassan Zahid, the man who tried to kidnap influencer Samia Hijab.
The police arrested the accused in another case and secured a two-day physical remand from the court.
He currently faces two cases registered at Shalimar Police Station.
Samia alleged that she was engaged to Hassan, but following his abusive behaviour, she declined to marry him. After refusing him, he gave her death threats and physically abused her many times.
She also posted a video of Hassan trying to kidnap her infront of her home.
In a video statement, the influencer said her life was in serious danger and appealed for immediate police protection.
Samiya said, “If I had been murdered like my friend Sana Yousuf, people would have shown sympathy, but since I’m alive, they are making allegations.”
She clarified that even if a woman is married, no one has the right to use force, violence, or attempt to kidnap her, and her relationship with Hassan Zahid had ended.
She added that she is under severe mental stress and urged people not to judge her without knowing the full truth, expressing hope for justice.
Later, Hassan got arrested by the Islamabad Police.
