Web desk: Security Forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan District, on September 24 after reports of the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij, according to an official statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Troops engaged the hideout and killed thirteen terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from those killed. The statement read, “thirteen Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell.”
According to ISPR, the terrorists were involved in several attacks in the area.
These included the suicide bombing in Daraban in December 2023, as well as the abduction and target killing of government officials and civilians.
A sanitisation operation is now underway to clear the area of any remaining terrorists.
According to the statement, “actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas, including facilitation in suicide bombing attack in Daraban in December 2023, abduction and target killing of government officials and innocent civilians.”
ISPR said Pakistan’s Security Forces remain determined to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Previously, the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, had stated in an interview with a German magazine that India was behind every terrorist attack in Pakistan.
He noted that Pakistan had hosted millions of Afghan refugees for four decades and had made arrangements for their dignified repatriation.
He also pointed out that credible evidence showed the involvement of illegal Afghan nationals in terrorism and serious crimes inside Pakistan.
