Web Desk: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued an important announcement regarding the filing of income tax returns.
The FBR announced that the filing of income tax returns for Tax Year 2026 will officially begin on July 27. The spokesperson urged all taxpayers to submit their tax returns accurately, completely, and honestly to help strengthen the country’s tax system.
According to the FBR spokesperson, all information provided in the tax return must be accurate and based on facts. Taxpayers have been advised to ensure that every detail mentioned in their returns is truthful to maintain transparency and accuracy.
The spokesperson further said that timely and accurate filing of tax returns plays a vital role in establishing a strong tax system. Taxpayers were urged to submit their returns within the prescribed procedure and on time while ensuring the correctness of all information provided.
The authority further advised taxpayers to carefully verify all details before submission to avoid inconvenience or unnecessary complications during the filing process.

log in to FBR Portal
Go to iris.fbr.gov.pk and log in with your NTN and password. Navigate to “Income Tax Returns” and select your tax year for which you are filing the tax returns.
