Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced dedicated support for manual income tax filers as part of its ongoing push to digitise Pakistan’s tax system. The initiative aims to make tax filing more accessible while promoting a modernized, efficient tax infrastructure.

Deadline Extended for Manual Filers

In a move to facilitate taxpayers, the FBR extended the filing deadline for manual income tax returns to November 30. Officials stressed that taxpayers who prefer to file manually will continue to receive the necessary assistance at FBR offices.

On-Site Assistance and Legal Support

FBR field offices have been instructed to provide hands-on support for registration and return submission to all manual filers. Additionally, any taxpayer requiring legal guidance will have access to these services free of charge at designated offices.

Commitment to Taxpayer Convenience and Digitalization

Through these measures, the FBR underlined its commitment to enhancing taxpayer convenience while advancing a digitized, efficient tax system. The authority emphasized that fostering compliance and facilitating manual filers are key steps toward a modern, transparent taxation framework.
