Web Desk: An explosion damaged the main gate and boundary wall of a police check post in Taunsa on Saturday, authorities said, while confirming that no casualties or major property losses were reported.

The blast occurred at the Jhangi Police Check Post, causing structural damage to the facility’s entrance and protective wall. However, officials said the impact did not result in any reported deaths or injuries.

Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to ensure the safety of nearby residents and personnel.

Authorities also raised the security alert level across the area as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, law enforcement teams began collecting evidence from the scene to determine the nature and cause of the explosion.

Investigators are examining all available evidence and gathering information from the site as part of an ongoing probe.
