Web desk: At least five people were killed and three others injured in an explosion at a border taxi stand in Chaman, Balochistan.

According to the Assistant Commissioner, the blast occurred at the taxi stand near the border. The deceased and injured were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical treatment.

Initial reports suggest that the explosive material had been hidden inside passengers’ luggage, which triggered the blast.

Authorities have cordoned off the area while further investigations are underway.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemns the Chaman blast

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the bomb blast near the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman.

The Prime Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of six precious lives in the incident. He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased and patience for their families.

He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured and directed authorities to provide them with the best possible medical facilities.

The Prime Minister instructed the authorities to identify those responsible for the attack and ensure they receive exemplary punishment.

He said that elements spreading violence in Balochistan are enemies of the province’s peace, prosperity and development.

“The nefarious designs of miscreants will never succeed,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
