PCB takes strict action against former players

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken strict notice of the participation of former Pakistani cricketers in the ongoing Asian Legends League 2026 in Zambia and has announced disciplinary action.

According to the PCB, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has declared the Asian Legends League 2026 an unapproved cricket event, while the Zambia Cricket Union has also not approved the tournament.

The board said that, in accordance with ICC instructions, obtaining a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the relevant national board is mandatory for participating in any foreign league.

The PCB has warned that action will be taken against former cricketers who participate in an unapproved league without an NOC. Those found in violation will not be issued an NOC by the PCB for two years.
