The West Indies cricket team made their country proud by achieving a historic win against Pakistan after 34 years.

In the last match of three-day One Day International (ODI) series, the winning team beat Pakistan by 202 runs as the Green shirts only made 92 runs.

They won the series by 2-1, Shaheens only managed to win one match.

During this last match of the series, Shai Hope became the third-leading century scorer for West Indies in ODI cricket. He was also the top-scored with an unbeaten 120 off just 94 deliveries. In total, he hit 10 fours and five sixes.

From Pakistan, Abrar and Naseem led the way with two wickets each, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz could pick up one apiece. The performance of this team has faced a lot of criticism lately, as they have failed to win any major series.

It is pertinent to mention that both teams have faced eachother 139 times in ODI matches.

The Windies have won more matches than Pakistan overall, however, today’s win was extra special for their country as they last won this ODI format series in 1991.
