Security Forces foil terrorist attack on Police check post in North Waziristan

Web desk: Security forces have foiled an attack on a police check post in North Waziristan, killing three terrorists belonging to the “Fitna al-khawarij,” while one police officer embraced martyrdom.

According to reports, terrorists attempted to storm a police check post in the district of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The attack was foiled through a swift response by the forces, resulting in the death of three terrorists. One police officer, was martyred while bravely fighting the attackers.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the forces for foiling the attack. In his statement, he said that sending three terrorists to hell reflects the professionalism of the security personnel.

Naqvi added that the timely action foiled the nefarious designs of the Khawarij terrorists.

He paid tribute to the martyred police officer, Nizamullah, noting that he confronted the terrorists with courage.

Expressing condolences and sympathy with the family of the fallen officer, the minister said, “Salute to the brave sons of the nation who crushed the evil ambitions of the Khawarij.”

Earlier in August, security forces conducted a large-scale operation in the Sambaza area of Balochistan, where a significant group of Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists attempted to cross the border. According to security sources, the militants were effectively neutralised, with 47 killed.

The majority of those killed fell on the Afghan side of the border, and for over two weeks their bodies remained unclaimed, left to decompose under the open sun and partially consumed by wild animals.

After a jirga, on August 25, the remains were finally retrieved, reportedly carried away on donkeys.

Security officials described the elimination of such a large formation before it could mount an attack as a major achievement for Pakistan’s security and intelligence agencies.
