Web Desk: Security forces eliminated 41 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in the southwestern province of Balochistan, describing the groups as operating with Indian backing.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, said the operations were carried out on Jan. 29 in the Harnai and Panjgur districts.

According to ISPR, security forces conducted an operation in an outlying area of Harnai district following intelligence reports about a militant hideout.

The military said troops targeted the location and engaged in a heavy exchange of fire, resulting in the deaths of 30 militants belonging to groups it identified as Fitna al-Khawarij. ISPR alleged the militants were operating with Indian support.

Security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the site, the statement said, adding that the explosives were destroyed on the spot.

In a separate operation, ISPR said security forces raided another militant hideout in Panjgur district, killing 11 militants affiliated with a group it referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan.

The military said the militants were also backed by India, a claim New Delhi has repeatedly denied in similar past incidents.

ISPR said weapons, ammunition, and cash looted during a bank robbery in Panjgur on Dec. 15, 2025, were recovered from the militants killed in the operation.

The military said those killed in both operations had been involved in multiple militant attacks in the past, though it did not provide further details.

Meanwhile, ISPR said clearance operations were continuing in the surrounding areas to eliminate any remaining militants.

The statement said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remained committed to pursuing what it described as a comprehensive counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, aimed at eliminating militancy allegedly sponsored from abroad.

There was no immediate independent confirmation of the claims, and no response from Indian officials.
