Saud Shakeel likely to join Pakistan test

Pakistan batter Abdullah Fazal has been ruled out of the Test series against the West Indies and England due to injury, with Saud Shakeel likely to be included in the Test squad as his replacement.

Sources said Saud Shakeel’s inclusion in the squad for the England series was subject to his fitness. However, Abdullah Fazal has now been ruled out of both the West Indies and England series after suffering a back injury.

There is a strong possibility that Saud Shakeel will be added to Pakistan’s Test squad for the West Indies series.

Abdullah Fazal sustained an injury to his lower back during a training session. Following an MRI scan and medical examination, he has been advised to undergo rehabilitation.

The two-match Test series between Pakistan and the West Indies begins tomorrow. The series trophy was unveiled at the Brian Lara Academy, with Pakistan captain Babar Azam and West Indies captain Roston Chase attending the ceremony.
