Web desk: Major changes are expected in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a shake-up is being seen in the party’s central leadership.

According to reports, Rauf Hassan is likely to be appointed as the Information Secretary in place of Sheikh Waqas Akram.

Similarly, Barrister Gohar is also expected to be removed from his post. Instead, Junaid Akbar is likely to be appointed as the caretaker chairman of the PTI, according to the sources.

According to sources, after the change of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, major decisions can also be taken in the central leadership.

In addition to this, the CM of KP, Ali Amin Gandapur, has also announced his resignation.

However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said his office has not yet received Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation.

He added that the resignation could be returned if any legal or constitutional issues are found.

Earlier, Ali Amin Gandapur announced his resignation on X, saying he was following instructions from PTI founder Imran Khan.

In his message, Gandapur said he served the people of KP with sincerity, helped stabilise the province’s finances, and worked to counter terrorism.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar confirmed that Imran Khan had directed Gandapur to step down and said the resignation would be submitted to the Governor.

Barrister Gohar responds

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has denied reports claiming his removal from office.

Addressing speculation about internal party divisions, he said such rumours were being spread by individuals who believed they held a numerical majority within the party.

“Let me make one thing clear: if I am removed or if I resign, the party will completely end,” he stated firmly.

Barrister Gohar reiterated that he continues to serve as PTI chairman and dismissed the reports as baseless.
