In a coordinated effort, the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Armed Forces safely transported hundreds of Pakistani students from Iran to Quetta through the Taftan border crossing.


According to official sources, the students were brought back as a precautionary measure in light of the evolving regional security situation. Authorities ensured strict security arrangements and smooth transit procedures at the border to guarantee their safe return.


In a continued evacuation effort, a total of 183 Pakistani students have safely arrived from Iran through the Taftan border .
The returning students include 83 males and 100 females. Of the total, 62 students (42 males and 20 females) were transported to Quetta on March 2, while the remaining 121 students (41 males and 80 females) arrived later.


Following their arrival, arrangements were made for the students to proceed to their respective provinces. The distribution includes 132 students to Punjab, 15 to Sindh, 1 to Balochistan, 22 to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3 to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 10 to Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).


Officials confirmed that the evacuated students were enrolled in various Iranian medical universities, including 50 from Tehran Medical College, 58 from Isfahan Medical College, 38 from Zanjan Medical College, and 37 from Yazd Medical College.


Authorities stated that the evacuation was carried out under coordinated arrangements to ensure safety, smooth transit, and onward travel to home provinces. Further updates are expected as the situation evolves.
