Government Holiday Announcement on October 20

The Sindh government declared a public holiday across the province on October 20 on the occasion of Diwali, the religious festival of the Hindu community. According to the details, the notification issued by the Department of Services, General Administration and Coordination states that all government offices will remain closed on Monday, October 20 so that the Hindu community can celebrate their religious festival Diwali with enthusiasm and devotion. The declaration further states that this decision has been taken in view of the respect and promotion of cultural and religious traditions of minority communities by the provincial government. It should be noted that Diwali is an important religious festival of the Hindu community, called the Festival of Lights. Houses, temples, and streets are lit up on this occasion.
