Senior Pakistani actress Afshan Qureshi has revealed details about a difficult phase in the early part of her career.
She recently revealed that due to a failed theatre project, she suffered a severe financial loss and became trapped in debt, however, an unexpected project played an important role in changing the course of her life.
The senior actress recalled the difficulties she faced after moving to Karachi in the early years of her career.
Afshan Qureshi revealed that despite the financial crisis, she remained determined to continue working and started making handmade items and selling them to meet her expenses.

The senior actress said that after moving to Karachi in 1980, she produced a stage play, however, the production turned into a major financial loss at that time.
She said that some artists did not cooperate with her and demanded advance payments, so she even had to sell her cars to pay the artists.
Despite making the payments, several artists left the production, as a result of which she suffered a heavy loss.
Instead of losing courage in difficult circumstances, Afshan Qureshi found another way to meet her expenses.
She said that she started the work of macramé (a craft in which different items are made by tying threads or cords into specific knots) and used to sell the items she made at a market in Karachi.
Afshan Qureshi said that after several months of difficulties, there came a time when she asked Allah for help, and shortly afterward, a director offered her work in a drama, which proved to be an important turning point.
The actress described herself as a hardworking woman and said that she did not allow the financial crisis to overcome her courage and continued to look for ways to deal with the circumstances.
