Web Desk: Unknown assailants opened fire on the residence of Pakistan national cricket team fast bowler Naseem Shah in Lower Dir, police said.
Police reported that the shooting partially damaged the main gate, several windows and one vehicle at the house. No casualties have been reported so far.
Authorities dispatched a large contingent of officers immediately after receiving the report. However, the attackers managed to flee the scene before being apprehended.
Following the incident, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, taking five suspects into custody. Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Police have registered a case at Maqadar Police Station and confirmed that operations to arrest militants and secure the area are continuing. Officials urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
