Within just 48 hours, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has announced a historic relief package for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
According to details, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has approved significant increases in compensation and benefits for police martyrs, injured personnel, and their families. The decision is in line with the expectations of the police force and acknowledges their sacrifices.
Salaries of police personnel have been increased. The governor has directed the relevant authorities to further increase salaries so that the salaries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police personnel are better than those in other provinces.
Martyrs’ Package: Previous and Revised Amounts
– Constable to Inspector: Increased from approximately Rs11 million to Rs17 million.
– DSP/ASP: Increased from approximately Rs16 million to Rs25 million.
– Grades 18 and 19: Increased from approximately Rs21 million to Rs30 million.
– Grade 20 and above: Increased from approximately Rs21 million to Rs35 million.
Housing Assistance for the Families of Martyrs
Instead of plots, the heirs of martyrs will receive direct financial assistance.
– Constable to Inspector: Rs18 million in place of a five-marla plot.
– DSP/ASP: Rs25 million in place of a seven-marla plot.
– Grades 18 and 19: Rs35 million in place of a 10-marla plot.
– Grade 20 and above: Rs70 million in place of a one-kanal plot.
The heirs of martyrs will no longer have to wait for plot allocation. They will be able to construct or purchase a house of their choice immediately.
Package for Injured Personnel: Previous and Revised Amounts
– In case of permanent disability: Increased from Rs500,000 to Rs5 million.
– For injuries sustained while on duty: Increased from Rs100,000 to Rs1.5 million.
Special Financial Assistance in Case of the Death of Close Family Members
– Death of a spouse or children: Rs5 million.
– Death of a father, mother, brother, or sister: Rs3 million.
Special Assistance for the Marriage of Martyrs’ Daughters
A special gift of Rs1 million will be provided for the marriage of the daughters of martyrs.
Other Important Measures
– Educational assistance for the children of martyrs.
– A coordinated system for cooperation with corporate organizations and banks under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
– Recruitment against vacant positions in the police to reduce unnecessary workload on personnel and ensure the availability of the required manpower to protect the public.
