The national cricketers continue to follow the Pakistan Cricket Board’s instructions to play domestic first-class cricket.

Pakistan Test team captain Babar Azam will also be seen in action in the President’s Trophy Grade-I first-class competition.

Test captain Babar Azam will return to domestic first-class cricket after approximately six domestic seasons.

Sources say Babar Azam will represent OGDC in the President’s Trophy Grade-I first-class competition.

The first round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I first-class competition is currently underway, while the second round will begin on September 18.

Babar Azam will play domestic first-class cricket after finalising all arrangements upon his return to Pakistan.

He last played a first-class match in Pakistan for Central Punjab in December 2019.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has made it mandatory for players to play first-class cricket.

Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is also playing first-class cricket after a long time, while cricketers including Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman and Salman Ali Agha are playing in the President’s Trophy.
