WEBDESK: Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, at a press conference in Quetta, on Monday, has said that the province was saved from a major disaster.
CM Sarfaraz Bugti praised the security forces for their efforts. He said the agencies had foiled a major plan of destruction on Independence Day. “I pay tribute to our security agencies,” he said.
Bugti confirmed that a facilitator of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a professor, was arrested in Quetta. He criticised the claim that the people of Balochistan are deprived. “What deprivation does this professor face?” he asked, urging the Baloch people to stay away from such individuals.
The chief minister said the government does not believe in collective punishment. However, he stressed that those who support or help terrorists will face action.
He added that people who know about terrorist activities must come forward. “If you know your relative is involved in terrorism, you will also be held responsible,” Bugti warned.
