No compromise on national security
According to the ISPR, the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country's borders and any external aggression will be met with a befitting response. The Spokesperson stated that the recent actions were taken in view of the continuing violations from the soil of Afghanistan and the growing threat of terrorism in Pakistan. The past few months have seen an increase in tensions along the Pak-Afghan border. Pakistan has repeatedly protested to the Afghan government over increasing attacks, smuggling, and terrorist networks activities against Pakistan from Afghan soil, but due to lack of effective action, the Pakistan Army decided to take direct action. The latest actions reflect that Pakistan will no longer exercise restraint on the issue of its national security. Military sources say that if cross-border attacks are not stopped, the operations may expand further in the coming days.
