Web Desk: Security forces killed more than nine terrorists during intelligence-based operations in several parts of Balochistan under an ongoing operation against terrorists, security sources said on Tuesday.
The operations were conducted in the Ziarat, Harnai and Sohrab districts, the sources said, adding that security forces also recovered ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, communication equipment and other material from the terrorists.
According to the sources, security forces launched an operation after receiving intelligence about a terrorist hideout in a mountainous area between Ziarat and Harnai.
The forces surrounded the hideout and carried out a targeted operation, killing eight terrorists and destroying the facility, the sources said.
Meanwhile, security forces conducted another operation in Hajika village in Sohrab district.
The forces established a checkpoint between Dasht Katayi and Hajika after tracking the movement of suspected terrorists, the sources said. One terrorist was killed during the operation.
Security forces also recovered ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, walkie-talkies, a motorcycle and other equipment from the terrorists, according to the sources.
Security forces have vowed to continue operations across Balochistan until terrorism is eliminated and lasting peace is restored, the sources said.
