Islamabad extends Food Outlet

Islamabad: Islamabad extends Food Outlet registration drive as over 1,085 food points and restaurants in Islamabad completed registration by the 30 November deadline, as authorities continued efforts to bring all food outlets under regulatory compliance.

Registration Continues at Facilitation Centre

Deputy Director Operations Dr Tahira Siddiq said the Business Facilitation Centre is still processing registrations, noting that officials kept the centre open over the weekend to assist business owners. She added that the extended hours aimed to ensure maximum convenience for restaurant and food point operators.

Action Against Unregistered Outlets

Authorities have compiled data on all unregistered food outlets across the capital, according to the Deputy Director of the Food Authority. Dr Siddiq said enforcement teams have already begun actions against businesses that failed to register on time.

Call for Compliance

She urged remaining food operators to register immediately to avoid legal action. “Register your food point so you do not face any legal proceedings,” she said, stressing that compliance will help maintain food safety and operational standards throughout the city.
