The Pakistan Army has fulfilled a long-standing demand of students at the University of Lasbela by restoring five buses and providing modern transportation facilities for students.


According to sources, the Pakistan Coast Guard, a subsidiary of the Pakistan Army, successfully completed the repair and upgrade of buses for the University of Lasbela of Agriculture, Water, and Marine Sciences in Uthal.


Under the Army’s social welfare initiative, the Pakistan Coast Guard undertook this project to improve transportation for university students, particularly female students.

The five buses were fully restored, including body repairs and repainting, interior seat upgrades, safety enhancements, and improvements to the electrical system.


After the repair work, the buses were handed over to the university. The faculty and students appreciated this effort and sent a thank-you letter to the Pakistan Army.


The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Tarin, expressed gratitude in his letter, stating that this support reflects strengthened inter-institutional cooperation and support for educational institutions.


He further added that this assistance will not only resolve immediate operational challenges but also promote trust between public institutions and foster the spirit of national service.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the Pakistan Army’s support is a prime example of joint efforts by state institutions for education and student welfare, and it will further strengthen the relationship between the university and the Pakistan Coast Guard.
