Web Desk: Pakistan has successfully launched its new Electro-Optical satellite, EO-3, into space. The launch took place from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China, according to Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s national space agency, SUPARCO, also described the launch as a major achievement. It said the EO-3 satellite was developed locally and called it an important step toward improving Pakistan’s space technology and becoming more self-reliant.
In addition, officials said the satellite will help Pakistan in several areas. It will provide high-quality images that can be used for city planning, disaster response, agriculture, and environmental protection. As a result, experts believe EO-3 will support better decision-making and long-term development.
Furthermore, SUPARCO noted that the satellite will play a key role in building a broader Earth Observation System. This system aims to support national projects and improve economic and social progress across the country.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the engineers and scientists involved in the project. He also thanked China for its continued support in space cooperation.
