Motorway police have issued a stern warning to travelers as dense fog has severely reduced visibility across several regions of the country, making travel on motorways increasingly dangerous. As a result, key stretches of the motorway network have been temporarily shut down. The M3 motorway from Dera Khana to Rajana, M4 from Gojra to Multan and M5 from Multan to Zahid Peer have all been closed to traffic until further notice.

Travelers Urged to Avoid Non-Essential Journeys

Saying that the visibility was drastically limited due to the thick fog, motorway police spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel. He highlighted that the risk of accidents was significantly higher due to the reduced line of sight, making even routine driving hazardous. Authorities have emphasized that excessive speed and lane violations could lead to serious accidents during these weather conditions.
