The district administration Islamabad has announced the closure of five hiking trails in the federal capital on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
According to an official notification issued by the office of the District Magistrate Islamabad on August 12, Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5 and the trail behind Saidpur Village will remain closed to the general public for the entire day.
The notification was issued by Islamabad District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon and circulated to relevant police, administrative and civic authorities for strict promulgation.
The authorities have strictly directed the concerned departments, including Islamabad Police, traffic police, the Capital Development Authority and Islamabad Wildlife Management Board, to ensure implementation of the said order.
Citizens and visitors have, therefore, been advised to avoid visiting the closed trails on August 13 and to follow the directions of the district administration.
Authorities say that the closure has been enforced as authorities continue to maintain heightened security and administrative arrangements in the federal capital.
The Islamabad Capital Territory administration has further urged citizens to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies and avoid any inconvenience by planning outdoor activities at alternative locations until the trails are reopened for general public.
