AJK Govt announces reward money for information on key JAAC offenders

AJK reward for information on JAAC

The Home Department of the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has announced a reward of one crore rupees for providing information leading to the arrest of four individuals linked to the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).

According to the official announcement, the key offenders are required to law enforement agencies in activities considered disruptive to public peace and state institutions.

The Home Department AJK with formal approval from the President has set a reward of 10 million rupees each under Paragraph 15.18 of Chapter 15 of the Police Rules 1934, for any person providing assistance or credible information leading to the arrest of these individuals.


The notification states that the individuals named include Shaukat Nawaz Mir son of Habibullah Mir, resident Bank Road Muzaffarabad; Umar Nazir Kashmiri son of Muhammad Nazir Khan, resident Pothi Makwalan, District Poonch; Khawaja Mehran Arshad son of Khawaja Arshad, resident Dadyal, District Mirpur; and Sardar Aman Khan son of Muhammad Idris, resident Gorah Pindori, District Sudhnoti.


The Home Department has clarified that the identity of successful informants will be kept confidential.


The notification was issued on 9 June 2026 from Muzaffarabad. Copies of the notification have been sent to the Secretary Information, Inspector General of Police Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Secretary/PSO to Secretary Home, Special Secretary Home, and the master file.
