Eid and Spring holidays

March 06, 2026 Islamabad: Federal government educational institutions have announced four-day spring holidays, according to an official notification issued by the authorities.

As per the notification, all federal educational institutions will remain closed from March 24 to March 27, while academic activities will resume on March 30.

Officials stated that this year the spring holidays have been merged with the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, allowing students and staff to enjoy an extended break before the religious festival.

Authorities say the decision was taken to facilitate families who travel to their hometowns during Eid and to ease administrative scheduling for schools and colleges.

It is worth mentioning that spring holidays are observed annually in educational institutions, but this year their adjustment with the Eid holidays has effectively created a longer festive vacation period for students and staff.
