No tolerance for crime against women in Punjab, says Maryam Nawaz

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday while addressing a laptop and scholarship ceremony in Lodhran, that there is zero tolerance for crimes against women in Punjab. She declared the crimes against women or children a “red line.”

The Chief Minister also announced more than 9000 new laptops for the students of South Punjab, including Multan and Bahawalpur divisions. She also stressed equal opportunities across Punjab. Maryam Nawaz outlined a series of major initiatives in housing, healthcare, infrastructure, cleanliness, and law enforcement.

Chief Minister Maryam told the audience while addressing that her government did a lot of work to dismantle mafia hold, enhance public safety, and initiated large-scale development projects in a very short time. She said that the Punjab government will stay committed to the people of Punjab.  

During the ceremony, she highlighted progress under her government in Punjab as she mentioned several development projects, including housing projects, free plots, road construction, hospitals, and healthcare initiatives.
