PM Shehbaz condemns Israeli attack on Doha during call with Qatar’s Amir

Web desk: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone call with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to express solidarity after an Israeli airstrike hit Doha on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister condemned the bombing as unlawful and heinous, saying it caused loss of innocent lives and damage to civilian property. He extended condolences to the Amir, the Qatari royal family, and the people of Qatar.

Shehbaz Sharif called Israel’s attack a “dastardly act” and said it reflected the mindset of Israeli leaders pursuing their goals at any cost. He termed the strike a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and warned that such aggression could endanger peace and stability in the region.

The Prime Minister assured the Amir that Pakistan stood firmly with Qatar in the face of Israeli aggression. He also stressed the need for unity among Muslim countries at this critical time.

The Amir of Qatar thanked the Prime Minister for the call and the message of solidarity. He said the gesture reflected the strong and brotherly ties between Qatar and Pakistan.

Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact to support regional peace and security.

Pakistan FO slams Israel’s attack on Qatar

In another instance, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan, it strongly denounced Israel’s strike on Qatar, describing it as reckless and provocative.

The Foreign Office said the attack was a blatant breach of Qatar’s sovereignty, international law, the UN Charter, and the established norms of interstate relations.

It reiterated Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Qatar, calling the assault unlawful and unprovoked. It said Israel’s actions once again exposed its disregard for global peace and security and its continued policy of fuelling regional instability.
