According to details, the report was submitted by the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission. It states that Pakistan emerged victorious over India in the war on May 7, 2025, with China playing a significant role in the outcome. According to report, India acknowledged that Pakistan targeted 109 military objectives during the conflict.

The report highlights that Pakistan used Chinese technology to shoot down Indian Rafale jets and also benefited from Chinese intelligence support. It notes that the conflict provided China an opportunity to test its military equipment.

According to the report, China used the conflict as an opportunity to showcase and test the capabilities of its weapons, which serve both its ongoing border disputes with India and its broader ambitions in the defense sector.

The U.S. panel’s report highlighted that Pakistan’s deployment of Chinese weaponry to target Indian aircraft became a notable point in China’s defense sales efforts, even though only three Indian jets were reportedly downed, and it was unclear if any of them were Rafales.

The report referenced French intelligence, stating that China allegedly orchestrated a disinformation campaign to discredit Rafale sales while promoting its J-35 jets. It further noted that Chinese embassy officials allegedly persuaded Indonesia to cancel an ongoing Rafale purchase, thereby advancing China’s influence over military acquisitions in the region.

China has not responded to the US report yet.
