Earlier on Marc 2 Pakistan Security Forces had carried out coordinated strikes against multiple forward posts of the militants along the Pak-Afghan border in response to hostilities initiated by the TTA on 26 February 2026. The operation focused on degrading militant capabilities and destroying infrastructure used for attacks against Pakistani positions.
Furthermore, six additional TTA posts were destroyed through heavy weapons fire across different sectors. In the Zinda Sector of North Waziristan, TTA forces attempted to regroup and build up strength, but their movement was effectively neutralized through precise and sustained fire. Attempts by militants to engage with small-arms fire from distance were also suppressed through coordinated mortar, tank, and artillery strikes.
