NEW DELHI: In a sharp rebuke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has accused the ruling establishment of promoting hate, intolerance, and extremism in India. Kharge claimed that the RSS’s violent ideology, backed by the Modi government, has turned the country into a breeding ground for terrorism and a threat to regional peace.
Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has alleged that the alliance between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS is at the root of rising hatred, bigotry, and extremism in India. He said that the RSS’s radical agenda, supported by the Modi government, has created an atmosphere of fear and violence across the country.
Kharge and his family have reportedly received death threats after he exposed the RSS’s alleged extremist face and called for a ban on its illegal activities. The minister shared a video on social media showing an RSS supporter issuing threats to kill him, which he said reflected the growing culture of intolerance in India.
In his statement, Kharge accused Prime Minister Modi of using the RSS as a political weapon to silence dissent and cover up his own government’s failures. He said the ruling BJP was openly endorsing the RSS’s extremist Hindutva agenda, which is poisoning people’s minds with hatred and communal prejudice.
Kharge warned that the Modi–RSS alliance is pushing India into flames of fear and division, and that their extremist ideology poses a grave threat not only to India’s democracy but also to regional and global peace.
